What is the difference between soft-ties and chaining?
Soft-ties are straps that secure the tires of a vehicle, allowing the vehicle to "flex" naturally during transportation. Chains, on the other hand, are secured to the vehicle's suspension, restricting its flexibility and placing a tremendous amount of strain on it. With greater stress on the suspension, the likelihood of damage occurring increases substantially. For this reason, almost all car dealerships and manufacturers will only transport vehicles using soft-ties.
But aren't chains stronger and more reliable than soft ties?
Not when it comes to transporting vehicles. Soft-ties secure vehicles just as effectively as chains, only without the added stress (and potential damage) on the suspension.
Aside from soft-ties, how else can I be sure that my vehicle will be safe?
In addition to being licensed, bonded and insured, we also participate in the BIT (Biennial Inspection of Terminals) Program. The program requires that our trucks are thoroughly and regularly inspected by the CHP for safety and reliability. Although the program only requires that vehicles be inspected every two years, we go the extra mile and have our trucks inspected every three months.
What kind of vehicles can you transport?
We can transport vehicles of all shapes and sizes (within reason). SUVs, sedans, minivans, trucks... if it has wheels, we can probably transport it. At the moment, we do not transport motorcycles.
How many vehicles can your trucks hold?
Our trucks can hold up to 10 vehicles, though this number varies depending on the size of the vehicles.
About how long would it take to transport a vehicle from coast to coast?
On average, it takes two weeks or less to transport vehicles from coast to coast. However, there are numerous factors that can delay a transport, such as unsafe weather conditions, closed highways, flat tires and other unavoidable obstacles.
Do you offer any guarantees on delivery dates?
Unfortunately, due to the unpredictable nature of traffic, weather and other conditions, we cannot offer any guarantees for delivery dates. However, if a delivery is unreasonably late or causes you great inconvenience, please call us so we can resolve the situation as quickly and fairly as possible.
Can I track the status of my order?
Yes. If you have any questions about the status of your order, such as the current location of your vehicle(s) or overall transportation progress, feel free to call us. Our customer service agents are available 24/7.
Do you offer any bulk discounts?
Yes, orders involving multiple vehicles are generally cheaper.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We currently accept Visa, Mastercard, cash and checks.
